Last day in singapore
Well on the 28th Feb i will be sailing to Port blair first.. then to Kochin, south of india. I guess ship will be berth or "park" in india for 10 days at most... then we will sail back and stop at thailand Bukit for 3 days.Well 30 days minus 13 days = 17 days at sea. So i last minute prepare a shopping list today!I had night duty last night aka 260204...so reach home next day around 1 pm.Then sleep sleep till 6pm ~ hahahaa i reach for my shopping list then rush to ntuc .
Batteries
can drinks X 1 dozen
chocalate X 5 bars
cookiesX 1 box
packet drinks X 1.5 dozen
can tuna X 2
konica 3 rolls of 36 film.
then at 8.20 pm i rush to Robinson to buy underwear and singlets.tthen settled with everything bought, i am happy....8.50pm. Except for one left i know, change currency....Well orchard as u all know every couple of steps u will see money changer. So i walked with easefrom Centerpoint along to HMV.I'm panicked when i realised 6 money changer have closed shop liao.So i walked to takashimaya to try my luck..and failed.I realised also that money changers close around 8 pm rather then i thought is 9.30pm.Until when i try my luck at Lucky plaza(there got lots of foreign workers shopping there, sure got lots of money changer one).I walked along the condom shop corridor and found 3 money changer shps close.Whaa liao!!!! Want to me to go thailand aND india with singapore currency meh~ whaa koWZ~ dun tell me i got to pawn something there huh?(^_^).Well i walked into lucky plaza and my confidence is hit to rock bottom when 90% of the shops inside were close.(time is just 9.20 pm leh... j8 or northpoint etc dun close so earlee one . then how come this shopping center so special.. surprised)Fortunately when turn back head towards exit, i saw a money changer shop.. hahaa. i was so delighted. They were serving the last customer and intending to close shop. hahahahaa lucky argh~. i faster change $400 =>2500 baht and $100=>9000 ruppees. These should be enough~ ......
Well anyway ,do u know that all personnel sailing to foreign port have to submit camera model no. if they want to bring theirs there in order for the Squadron office to endorse it?. So few days later they will pass u the document.. and u have to present this document to the Navy guardhouse, or checkpoint just b4 u enter The naval base.(No cameras or camera phone allow in camp).b4 u go in, u have to put your bag into the scanning machine to check for unauthroised thinga.Btw, i submit the model number late.. and the office did not give me the document.... so how?I intend to wrap the camera with my uniform and then put in my bag contending can drinks.hope that tin will confuse them to assume all are soft drinks. hahaaa... they also very slack one... when observing the monitor of the scanning machine.I thihnki got 80% chance to"smuggle" camera in. Take pictures there!!!! hahahaa~ my wish very long liao. i want to show u guys my ship~^_^ take care. dun abandon my blog hor.

15->20th Feb...5 day sailing
well i am back from my 5-day sailing ~ finally !!!Well this sailing is called FCP, a war operation excercise conducted with other ships and submarines.we will be group team orange, blue, red etc.then we have to sail Around South china sea, seeing who will locate each other first with nav radar + navy personnel lookout+info provided by the team ships. Then we will conduct engange excercise. For simulation, our ship and the "enemy ship" will sailing round and round and we will coms them(commmunicate through radio) pls surrender, or we will shoot X 3.Rules of engangement. We are under defense station mode, which means we closeup 50%..6 hours rest- 6 hours work.so very exhuasting..mentally.
Anyway the sea is quite rough with ship pounding here and there.I,like the other several seaman, have pop sea sick pill into my mouth for Just In Case.and it is normal for sea water to splash harshly against our bridge windows. And when walking around the ship, u can easily find salt particles everywhere. Now i understand y salt is so eassily discovered by ancient pple.
At the 3rd day , the cabin room(for the specialist navy personnel to sleep in) started to smell(they dun change their unform all the way after days of work and sleep on their bed during bed time+ dirty socks and shoes).and the toilet inside stinks.(think the ship shaking make them unable to aim.)yucks~ it makes me sick.
Well this morning 5.30 am i have reached tuas naval Base, singapore i called my homeland i feel relieved~!!!wow its finally over.I walked to the canteen with my buddies to order food....prawn mee~ yummy~(* sailing in rough sea makes u lose apeitite plus food on the ship by the cooks there is a so-so.)And one more thing, when i was walking from tuas to home.. and even now i can hear the sounds of sea and my feet wobble a little like i am walking on the ship.My body cannot get use to the land i guess.hehee This sailing marks not the end, but the beginning chapter of my sailing Log,chapter 1-sailing to india...28th feb-28thmarch.Oh man...

sailing to malacca straits 28th -1st feb
well it is my first 4 day sailing. it is an operation to go to malacca straits to escort 3 submarines tochangi naval base. Well it is dfense station system.. meanning 50% manpower... so 6 hours lookout 6 hours rest. very tiring for a novice...metally the most.Well i get to see couple of sunset and sunrise... and it is too beautiful to discribe... ~. aND i think i have seen a dolphin family... but i am not too confirm becoz it is in the evening... the light does not aid me best to see clearly.

6 hour FREE time
As it is chinese new yr still, the ship allow us to gamble.so many pple will come to play blackjack......it will sometimes too noisy that the one sleeping will be woken one and left with no choice, but to shout" Quiet~!!"For my free time i play winning eleven(ps game) or sleep...for 6 hours for another 6 -hour operation to come
then 6 hour operation
there will be 3 lookouts and one helmsman. We switch out task around.Lookouts will pay attention the traffic, informing any ships near us to the officers.Helmsman will just..steer the ship. i find it very difficult, espcecially in the night.hard to identify the other ships.
sea status
it is smooth, not much shaking or strong tide.the seniors have expected it becoz straits dun have much storm or strong current. onli at the open sea...including south china sea, which i will be going to sail on 4th feb..will be back 6th night.
